Day 2

Day two was as bit harder than day one. That excitement and initial momentum was falling victim to the sugar withdrawal.  Coming off that up and down seesaw that carbs and sugars had me inn is rough.

I want sweets. I want cheese. I want soy sauce!

For breakfast I had an Apple for breakfast fooled by some sliced beef.

Lunch was sauteed chicken and broccoli and chicken broth.

For dinner I made a vegetable stew/chili with ground turkey.

My mood had stopped by 3pm... I was tired and not in a generally happy mood. I feel hungry every 45 mins and I just want to sit and do nothing.

I was able to play tennis with my parents and Caroline for a while though. So I wasn't lazy all day long!

Becca's Whole 30: Day 1

Well here I am 3 years after starting a blog in order to get healthy and I am heavier than ever! The situation is more serious now because my husband and I are trying to conceive and my weight may be an issue as my BMI has moved into the "obese" zone and during recent blood test my Hemoglobin A1C was on the higher an of normal. I will now be making My Attempt at the Whole 30! I intend on posting pictures of my meals when possible and holding myself accountable. There are other woman doing this with me as well as my husband (while eating at home at least!). I have taken my baseline measurements this morning.

Waist: 35.5
Hips: 43
Thigh: 25.5
Chest: 37
Bust: 38.5
Bicep: 13

Here is my fist breakfast! Egg over medium with some sauteed spinach. I also had some apple slices with almond butter.

For lunch I had a chili, lime chicken burger with guacamole and lettuce among with a salad.

We grilled for dinner. Lots of steak and veggies.

4/15/12

Today my breakfast was some left over potatoes that I turned into hash-browns.

I had a snack made up of a slice of sharp cheddar cheese and 10 baked corn chips.

My lunch was yummy! Zucchini and yellow squash, cut into half circles and simmered in olive oil with some Italian seasoning. Then I put some spicy marinara over top and melt a little fresh mozzarella on top... Mmmmmm! It is pretty good for you too if you use the low fat Mozzarella.

Dinner is in the slow cooker and consists of roasted chicken, spring mix salad and mashed potatoes.

Activity: 10 minute of cycles. 1 cycle consists of: 10 bicycle crunches, 10 squats, 10 arm figure 8's, 10 side to side crunches, 10 push ups and 20 jumping jacks.

Lunch 4/2/12

This is not a pic that I took, but this is exactly what lunch looked like!

Breakfast 4/02/12

I am bad this morning! I have only had water and coffee so far. I usually eat at work, since I am blessed to work in an establishment with a cafeteria AND othe cafe options, but I had a few things on my desk that needed done.

I am going to be eating cashews for breakfast! lol. At least they are healthy calories.
